🌿 Inner Island — Week 1: Arrival

June 8–13 The Week of Returning to Your Senses


This first week is about arriving in your body, in your space, and in the quiet inner island that lives beneath the noise of daily life.

You don’t need to change anything about yourself to begin. You only need to show up each day.


This week, you will:


  • Reconnect with your five physical senses
  • Engage the four elements — earth, water, fire, air
  • Create a safe inner sanctuary
  • Begin documenting your inner landscape through simple daily journaling



This is the foundation of the entire program.


🌘The Last Quarter Moon + Balsamic Moon 


This week sits between two powerful lunar moments:


1. The Last Quarter Moon


This phase brings a natural feeling of wobble like learning to ride a bike again. It’s a time when:


  • Something inside wants to move
  • Something else resists
  • Old habits bump against new desires

It’s a pivot point. A moment to notice what no longer fits and what wants to shift.


2. The Balsamic Moon


This is the “deep exhale” of the lunar cycle. A time for:

  • Rest
  • Quiet
  • Clearing
  • Letting the mind soften
  • Letting the body speak


It’s the phase of dreaming, intuition, and renewal (the soil preparing itself for the next seed (New Moon june 14th)).



A gentle unraveling + a quiet returning.


🜁 Your Week 1 Focus


Reconnecting with the Senses


Your senses are the doorway back to your body. They are also the doorway to intuition.


This week you’ll work with:

  • The 5 physical senses
  • The 4 elements

All at once, in the same space, to create a felt sense of safety and belonging.




🌱 Daily Practice (20–30 minutes)

1. Morning Sensory Check‑In (5–7 minutes)

Name one thing for each sense: one word or phrase per sense


  • Sight
  • Sound
  • Smell
  • Taste
  • Touch



2. Elemental Practice (10–15 minutes)

Bring earth, water, fire, and air into the same space.

Examples:

  • Earth: a stone, soil, a plant, a crystal, or simply your feet on the ground
  • Water: a cup of water, a bowl of water, a sip of tea
  • Fire: a candle
  • Air: incense, breath, open window


Then do a short grounding sequence:


  1. Stand or sit with both feet on the floor
  2. Place one hand on your belly, one on your heart
  3. Breathe slowly (inhale 4, exhale 6)
  4. Notice one sensation from each element



3. Journaling (5–7 minutes)

Use this simple template:

  • Today my body feels…
  • One thing I noticed through my senses was…
  • One thing I want to honor today is…



4. Evening Reflection (2–3 minutes)

Write down:

  • 1 moment of presence
  • 1 moment of tension
  • 1 gratitude
  • 1 subtle sign or image that appeared



🔥 The Seven Senses (Inner Work)

This week you’ll begin gently activating the seven inner senses:


  • Animation (Fire): a spark of energy, a small movement
  • Feeling (Earth): grounding, weight, warmth
  • Speech (Water): naming your truth aloud
  • Taste (Air): mindful tasting
  • Sight (Mist): soft gaze, inner imagery
  • Hearing (Flowers): deep listening
  • Smelling (South Wind): scent memory


Each day, choose one to focus on.



🕯️ Weekly Ritual: Build Your Island Altar

Create a small altar spcae at your home you return to daily



🌙 How to Move Through This Week


The Last Quarter Moon brings inner friction. Let it soften you rather than harden you.


The Balsamic Moon asks for rest. Let yourself slow down.


Your senses are waking up. Your body is remembering.


You’re arriving.


🌾 What You’re Cultivating This Week


  • A safe inner space
  • A grounded daily rhythm
  • A relationship with your senses
  • A deeper connection to your body
  • A quiet readiness for what’s coming next


This is the soil. Everything else grows from here.
